Privacy policy
Who we are
Krabi Pointer is an independent guide to Krabi. The editor is Lia. For privacy requests, email hello@krabipointer.com. That is also the contact on the contact page.
Information we collect
The site does not ask you to create an account. If you email us, we receive whatever you put in that email (your address, and the contents of the message) so we can reply. The contact form on the about page stays in your browser. It does not send the message to a server.
If you join the newsletter, we store the email address you submit so we can send that letter and so you can unsubscribe. We do not sell that address.
Google Analytics 4 and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read. The measurement ID on this site is G-GLBWHNEY1E. GA4 sets cookies (including cookies named like _ga) and receives technical data such as page URL, browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and how you reached the page. Analytics storage is set to granted. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are set to denied in the site's consent default. You can block analytics cookies in your browser, or use a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics.
We do not use cookies to build an advertising profile of you on this site.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links. Hotel links go to Agoda with this site's partner id. Other travel links (including Klook, Aviasales, Tiqets, Kiwitaxi, Welcome Pickups and Airalo) are routed through Travelpayouts. When you follow those links, Agoda, Travelpayouts or the merchant may set their own cookies to record the referral. If you book, we may earn a commission. That does not change the price you pay. Details are on the affiliate disclosure.
Your data rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@krabipointer.com with the address you want us to look up. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or the EEA you can also complain to your local data protection authority. We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal effects.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Emails you send us are kept long enough to handle the request, then deleted unless we need the thread to show how a correction was made. Analytics data is kept by Google under Google's retention settings for the GA4 property.
