Krabi coastline at dusk

A guide to Krabi, written from checked sources

I edit Krabi Pointer because Krabi is easy to get wrong from a booking grid.

Ao Nang looks like the beach holiday and is mostly the boat harbour. Railay looks close on a map and is a wet landing. The useful version of that is specific: which base, which fee, which morning is worth the alarm. I am 28, half Colombian and half German, and I write that way. Warm about the good days, fussy about the receipt.

Hotels are ranked by guest scores. Activities keep the published rating. If a place is not worth it, the page says so. I do not invent a stay I did not take. The person behind the byline is on About Lia.

How we work

Checked sources

I write from recent traveller reviews, the property's own listing, official fees and local news. A payment does not buy a better ranking.

Affiliate, not advertising

Some links earn a small commission when you book, at no extra cost to you. That includes Agoda and other Travelpayouts partners. It does not move a hotel up the list.

Updated, not abandoned

Prices, openings and closures move fast in Krabi. Pages get re-checked and re-dated. A number without a date is a number I do not trust.

Who edits the guides

Lia

Editor, Pointer Guides

Lia is 28, half Colombian and half German, and the editor of Pointer Guides. She loves travel, fitness and festivals, and she writes with German practicality and Colombian warmth. Guides are built from current sources (official venue info, recent traveller reviews, booking-site listings and local news), with prices and hours checked and pages refreshed when things change.
